The historic, beautiful, and idyllic Kuorsalo Island is located in a scenic spot off the coast of Hamina, about 16 kilometers east. The island offers breathtaking sea views, a private shoreline, excellent fishing waters, and two charming fishing villages. Covering 435 hectares, Kuorsalo is an ideal place for relaxation and enjoying nature.
At Keihäsranta, you will stay comfortably in a well-equipped and homey cabin. The cabin accommodates 46 people and features a fully equipped kitchen. Additional amenities include a rowing boat, a new pier, a beachfront patio, a terrace, electricity, drilled well water, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave, a TV, outdoor furniture, a charcoal grill, a gas grill, an outdoor toilet, a wood-heated sauna, a heat-storing fireplace, a sandy beach and shoreline, a pier, and a mooring buoy for a larger boat.
On Kuorsalo, you can witness the unique spectacle of the spring bird migration. The island features two observation towers, a firepit shelter, and excellent trails that you are free to explore. Additionally, in the summer, you can visit fascinating exhibitions at Kuorsalo Schools Gallery Korusala.
Transportation to the island is available if you dont have your own boat. A fenced parking area is available on the mainland. From the island, you can also take trips to outer islands, the border area, and nearby islands with different transport options (e.g., Ulko-Tammio, Tammio, Haapasaari).
